Nardone Cement

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What type of concrete do you use?

A: We use 6 Bag 4000 PSI Concrete Mix which is over the State Of Michigan Code Requirements

Q: What type of subgrade material (base) do you use?

A: We use Michigan Department of Transportation Specified 21AA Crushed Concrete instead  of sand which is then power compacted. 21AA is a more sturdy base than as sand as it stays together and does not wash away.

Q: Do you use reinforcement?

A: We use 10 gauge welded wire mesh reinforcement in most concrete applications. It works better than fibermesh as in it increases the strength of the concrete and ties all the concrete together. This you do not have uneven slabs and control joints do not separate.  Fibermesh only increases tensile strength of individual slabs and does not hold anything together.

Q: Are you licensed and insured?

A: We are fully licensed with the State of Michigan and Fully Insured. Proof of license and insurance is available upon request.

Q:Do you require a deposit?

A: We never take any payment until the job is completed.

Q: Will you haul away old concrete/dirt?

A: We haul away all material from the jobsite

Q: Do you install Stamped Concrete or Exposed Aggregate Concrete?

A: We install Stamped Concrete and Exposed Aggregate Concrete.

Q: What is included in Stamped Concrete?

A: Our Stamped Concrete is integral colored wiremesh reinforced concrete. We stain an antiquing color to achieve a two-tone look and seal with a decorative concrete sealer. Many color choices are available as are the antiquing colors.
